More information about this lightweight Macario steel frame

Hi! This is my first post to this forum.

I just bought this frame and I was wondering if anyone know more about this Macario road bike frame, especially the tubing. It is very light, 2000g the frame, 700g the fork; size 55cm ST.

The fork has a sticker that says Gamma 808, but the frame has none about the steel quality. I didn't find anything on the internet about this particular model, not even a picture. I hope you guys can help me. I paid $100 for this.

Here are some pictures.

Cheers,
Iustin

It's interesting that it bears the shadow of a KELME decal. Are you familiar with the Operacion Puerto doping scandal which implicated many top cyclists? José Ignacio Labrarta was the director of Kelme at the time, and was convicted of administering PEDs to cyclists. According to court documents, he used the alias "Macario."

Looks like a really nicely made frame. I think you did well for $100.

That' an interesting fun fact. I wasn't familiar with the scandal.

Thank you. I really like it and I'm going to build a really nice bike I hope.

Check out this thread as well: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...o-macario.html

Btw, are you in Spain?

What is the decal on the drive-side top tube?

I've found a few threads about Macario bikes, but not for this model. The decal says 'Bitur...'. I don't know what that is.

I'm not from/in Spain.

I meant the other one (on the drive side) with the "S" and smaller font. Wondered if it may be a clue to a club team or sponsor.
