Giordana XL Super - Finally detailed pics
Over the years I've shared lots of detailed pictures of the bikes in my stable or that have passed through. But I really never shot a series of my favorite bike after it was totally built up. Took it out today for the first time since coming back from being off the bikes for a long time, damn knees. This bike just glides under you no matter how bad the road surface is. This baby now has thousands of miles on her and still looks pretty much as good as the day it was built up. Well....except for the bar tape. That's a badge of honor for all the wonderful miles it's given me. Anyway, after a 30 mile ride I took some time to finally get some real shots of it. I have another one of these in a different color scheme and built up with "better" parts yet this is the one that really does it for me out on the road.

Can’t go wrong with a Giordana under the saddle.
I particularly like the ketchup/mustard color scheme that seems to be holding up very well over use and time. The Giordana decals are some of my favorite, no exception here!
Do you know what tubing is used?

Big fat dittoes on that. Is that a full custom paint job, or was it made that way? Whichever, it's gorgeous and very showy

French Excell Podium which was their top tubeset. They used this "Backgammon" type paint job for a few years. Just varying the colors per models.

Dang. I drooled on my keyboard. I love that color scheme and those components. Great looking bike.

Nope, I picked this up NOS from the Gita Warehouse several years ago. Velocals did have the artwork for an earlier Giordana I have though. It wasn't shown on his webpage but I sent JR an email asking for them and he was able to provide them.

Sooooooo..... I probably shouldn't tell you I have another one?
Not as glossy and bright as it's brother.
A good bit lighter though with "higher end" components and C.F tubular wheels.
