Gravel Routes and Other Alternatives to American River Bike Trail in Sacramento

Hi,

I drive to Sacramento a lot on business. Often bring my bike as I'm done by noon.

Love the ARBT and SRBT but looking for alternatives. In particular gravel routes would be great. With all the Levies surely there must be gravel routes a plenty? But I can't find them on any maps.

I'm particularly looking for rides within 30 minutes of downtown so areas like Auburn are out.

Thanks.

I would imagine riding the ARB and ending at Folsom Lake then continue riding within Granite Bay trails is probably a lot of fun, and it might be what you"re looking for.

Thanks but the Granite bay trails are short, mainly sand and are quite up and down. I've done them on a hard tail with front shocks but I wanted a longer 30+ mile ride.

Mike's Bikes does a weekly gravel ride. https://mikesbikes.com/pages/group-rides

Here's a strava route: basically it's a loop of levee around W. Sac. https://www.strava.com/activities/23...25#58587726785
