New bike day! Canyon Endurace AL 8.0
After lots of deliberation and some great feedback here, I took the dive and bought a Canyon as a second road bike. The Endurace AL 8.0 is an aluminum framed endurance geometry with a full Ultegra 8000 groupset and threaded bottom bracket. I can’t say anything about the ride yet though. My wife is back in the US taking my oldest to college and I’m here watching my two youngest. I know need to get the dork disk off too but, I lost my cassette tool and am currently waiting on the notoriously unreliable Italian post to deliver the one I bought...I also have to flip the stem and adjust some other stuff but it's hot in the garage right now...

Yep. I used their online calculator to get the right size but I also have another bike that fits well and the stack and reach are close on these. You can also return the bike within thirty days for a refund or exchange.

So far, I am pretty happy with the purchase. It is well made and everything was adjusted pretty well on arrival. I may try to sneak out tomorrow for a short ride. I’ll post thoughts afterwards.

Nice bike. Why don’t you just cut the dork disk off with a ****s or something?

I don't see the 8.0 AL on their website. Maybe regional as I'm in the US. I've been looking at these closely lately. Very nice looking bike.

Currently the US Site only lists the 7.0, posted as coming soon. No mention of the 8.0. Curious how this will compare to the Trek Emonda and Cannondale's hope some site do a comparison test

I'm also interested in how Canyon's AL compares to Cannondale's AL series frame. Unfortunately, I'm unable to test ride a Canyon in my area. So, I'll have to go by word-of-mouth here on BF.

Nice, I retired in '92, spending my last 9 years in Germany. I had my Concorde , custom made, as a retirement gift to myself, while stationed in Germany. Beings , your in the cycling mecca, you going to get a nice Italian bike to take back ? KB.

I just got the RA for the Canyon today. It doesn't fit correctly and now they are sold out of the size I need...I am shopping around but I think I am going to get a Bianchi Intenso or Infinito. I am leaning towards the Intenso because of the threaded bottom bracket.

Return authorization...It's headed back because it doesn't fit...The only decision now is whether I want disk or no on the Intenso. I am leaning towards not though. I love them on my MTBs but am kinda underwhelmed on Road bikes...

Just got my first CF bike, and came with disks. Rolled out of driveway, and wounldnt stop. Discovered the brakes needed bedding in , like a car. What a difference it made, after I completed the process .
show us pics, when you get the Bianchi . kb

Yup. I'd also be suspicious of the install - the brakes on my Trek aren't quite as good as the brakes on my Haanjo, despite being a step up in the Shimano hierarchy. I installed and bled the brakes on the Haanjo, though, and I suspect that whomever bled the Trek weren't quite as thorough bubble hunters. That said, it hasn't been bad enough for me to dig up the bleed kit and fluid.
