Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

which bike?

ok, i'm sure you get a lot of this, but there are two bikes I'm looking at
-2003 scott AFD Elite reduced from £699 to £629 (cant finda spec list0
-2005 bianchi nirone £555 https://www.roadcyclinguk.com/news/ar...AN/307/v/1/sp/

At the moment i'm going with the bianchi because its a lot cheaper overall - I want SPDs and the scott comes with plastic flats, the bianchi coming with road race pedals. the shop will change the pedals on the bianchi to SPDs for free meaning i only have to buy shoes, but obviously I will have to buy them and pedals for the Scott.

the overall costs would be ABOUT

bianchi nirone - £600
scott AFD Elite - £700

Thanks a lot
Ed
