LOL! I found exactly the same thing inside the door of my Ford Ranger which mostly sits unused in my driveway.

That's just the bikers buzz you get from the physical workout of riding your bike to work. however it looks like you may have broken out in hives.

Actually, no.
I wasn't thinking about yellow jackets when I reached for the door handle and felt something crunchy under it. But, I think that nest was already dead.
Of the two on the door, the upper one was active, and the lower one wasn't. I knocked all three of them off and squished them. But, I don't think I got the bees. I'll try to get back there one evening and go after the bees. I decided that I didn't need to climb past the nest of angry bees.
Lately, I've been pretty good at no-poison yellow jacket control. I have an acquaintance that is pretty anti-poison products. She has a small metal shed that they yellow jackets seem to really like. So, I'll knock the nests off into a bucket of water, then dump that bucket into a larger bucket... then tell her to keep the lid on for quite some time.
