After finding the Big Block deal at speedgoat, I also found a good deal on a closeout of 2010 Steamrollers >>> https://www.speedgoat.com/Catalog.asp...239&Prod=20270 The $559 sale price is only $119 more than a Kilo WT, and $240 less than the $799 asking price for a 2011 Steamroller.

[QUOTE=Lilcphoto;12621737]Have I an extra $559? Damn these great deals! I've always been fond of the Steamrollers[/QUOTE
Thing is, IMO Surly has really dumbed down the Steamroller, turning it into a gutless townie with silly low gearing. It used to be a real practical FG road bike that could cover meaningful distances and be used for transport. Now, it's just a heavy and overpriced coffee shop bike.

speedgoat just updated their website, and it looks like I got the last 46cm Big Block on sale for $637.50. It now shows up as "backordered," which means that there are no more on sale. Stock is also low (red bar) on the 61cm size, which probably means that there's only one remaining as well. The sale ends on 5/12/2011.

Damn only if the steamroller had mounts and I had the space for an extra bicycle in the flat; otherwise I'll be all over that 53

EMS is selling their remaining Bianchi Pista's for 40% off ($437.00), seems like a pretty good deal. While they claim they don't ship, they will. I think this model is a couple years old?

Just a reminder to anyone interested that today is the last day for the sale on the All-City Big Block complete FG bike for $637.50 shipped free at speedgoat bicycles >>> https://www.speedgoat.com/Catalog.asp...239&Prod=18728 The best price I can find anywhere else is about $800 and some places sell them at or above $900 MSRP. I managed to pick up the last 46cm frame size in stock, and most other places are out of stock in this size as well, so I feel pretty fortunate.

According to All-City, the Big Block will fit tires up to 700x32c, which is pretty wide, unless you intend to do any serious tricking or riding over very rough terrain.

I called All-City yesterday and they told me 28c max.. Not really looking to do much tricking if any but i do like a more beefed up bike. I still want to be able to jump a curb if need be , aggressive riding is something i enjoy and im not really that smooth at it. I had my eye on the big block for a few months but for some reason i think something like the urbies would suit me better as of right now.. The price on the bigblock is really calling my name tho..

Interesting, their website states repeatedly that 32mm tires will fit. Maybe, that's only w/o brakes. I managed to stuff 31mm tires into my Moto Messenger, which only has a front brake. It wouldn't work with a rear brake. Just looking at the photos on the All-City website of a front wheel with a 25mm stock tire, it looks like there is ample clearance for a 32mm tire with the brake installed. Anyway, I guess I'll find out when the bike arrives, although I don't think I'll be putting a 32mm tire on the front anyway.

Well, I'm inclined to believe what's said on the website, based on the photo and also the brake caliper is a Tektro R538, which is meant for large tires.

I've had the BigBlock since late summer last year, running 28c gatorskins with TONS of room all around. It could easily fit some 32s or maybe even a knobby cross tire! Width wise there is a lot of clearance. The closest the frame gets is on the rear brake bridge & on my setup now has a good 6mm of vertical clearance. No way is it maxed at 28c!!

I got an email about that deal. If I had the extra $$ I'd definitely pull the trigger.
