My new Giant Revolt Advanced 2, absolutely love this thing!! Smooth and stable off road, and can still keep up with the A group ride with a wheelset swap.

Does this count? It's a Tunturi-branded road bike with a lugged frame from around 1980. A couple of days ago I got clincher wheels for it, and of course I had to try if 35 mm Gravelking SK's would fit. They did. Just did the first ride in the woods and I'm not sure if the tubular road wheels are going back on it anytime soon.

Onre, in the original spirit of CX, I think your bike would qualify with no problem.

Love the versatility of those old road bikes. We are just going back to that now with Gravel bikes where they are not so specific to a UCI standard or a race design. Just good overall flexibility. Amazing you can fit those tires on with the caliper brakes. Very nice photo as well. Thanks for sharing!

I was able to get 700x32 Challenge Gravel Grinders on my 1983 Trek 412, but had to inflate them after installing in order to clear the brake pads. I was able to run 700c wheels in place of the OEM 27"ers by using DiaCompe BRS101 dual-pivots with the pads at the bottom of the slot.

So here is mine. I just converted my 'cross bike from drop bars to flat bars. The keen-eyed amongst you will see that I am indeed using Campy cranks with Ultegra mechs. Since Campy refuses to make flat bar shifters, I converted the derailleurs from Chorus to Ultegra. However, I didn't feel like messing with my bottom bracket/cranks nor spending the cash on new cranks, so the Chorus cranks stay. It currently is wearing 26mm Panaracer tubulars on HED Ardennes wheels, but I also have a set of H Plus Son Archtype wheels with Michelin Mud 2s for off-roading. I have to give a shout out to Metropolis Cycles in Detroit who (as always) did a top-notch job on this conversion. I am going on my first ride in this configuration tomorrow morning. Should be fun!

Here's my newest baby. 2019 Bombtrack Hook EXT-C. What an amazing machine. Only changed out the stem, seatpost, tires, and brake rotors. Rest of this bike is perfect. Happy with the Rival 1, for the price was hoping for at least Force, but so far it's been pretty bulletproof. Doing the Great Alleghany Passage with this during the week of the 22nd.
