Tubeless conversion
Gotta share a funny (to me) story.
I paid a local bike shop to convert my Pugsley to tubeless, the Marge Lite rims aren't easy tape/seal. To confirm this point, I was at the register paying and chatting with the guy at the counter when the mechanic tell us to stop talking... he heard a hiss. The tape on the rear rim slipped and it was leaking. So he ripped the whole rear wheel down and retaped it. (I think this was just a sales ploy to keep me in the shop looking at new bikes )
The funny part: I got home to hear a hiss in the garage. "*****" is all I could think. I start looking over the tires and rims looking for the leak. It took a minute for me to remember I left the compressor on in the garage to fill the car tires, and my compressor hose has a leak.
Despite a short ride home from the shop (6 miles); I was BLOWN AWAY at the improvement to the bike, felt like a new bike! It was much quicker on the starts, better feel in turns, and rolled faster. I'm really excited to get out for some 'fast' rides to really test this out this upgrade.
