Addiction LXXVII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seeds posted “I’m Your Captain,” but it mysteriously vanished.

À propos of today's crisis, I wonder how many of those guys made it to age 40.

I gotta say, the quality of my FB feed has really gone up with the shelter-in-place protocols being implemented in many big cities. The Crisco Disco stuff for instance, and another case in point: Steve Turner and Toody Cole posing for a pic in front of the Cole Hotel sign in Palm Springs. Two big chunks of greatness right there!!!

Dumb question, but suggestions on a relatively inexpensive way to jack up the front to install it? I saw some floor jacks at Harbor Freight and Amazon. I doubt I'd use it very often. Thanks.
The drive on ramps below are perfect for what you're looking to do. A floor jack and jack stands are far more versatile, because there's no removing a wheel with the ramps, but heck, I've probably only used mine two or three times.

harbor freight should have also similar ramps for less if I remember search results correctly.

But can you figure out how to get it to the people in need?

Pfft, we can't do that today. It's still better than being a country that has to import food and also has a weakening currency.

I did some medical study on YouTube this afternoon and reached an important conclusion: Mouse drugs are the past; I want bat drugs.

Refer me if you know a witch doctor who does bat blood transfusions.

Mixed nuts, crackers, frozen vegie burgers, almond butter, etc. Stuff to liven up a meal when you've been on beans and grains for awhile

That's why we store it in lakes. @DougRNS

Most of my hose drinking is in the summer and you can't drink the water in the hose because it's too hot anyway.

Was recommended an episode of Binging with Babish on YouTube - it was great video on making Indian breads at home, something that I've been wanting to try. Then I started reading the comments and it turns out the recommendation wasn't a google insight in to my soul, gleaned from searches and page views - looks like the video got a bump because the guest, an Indian restaurateur and celebrity chef, died of corona virus a couple days ago.

COVID-19
Currently the ratio of cases/hospitalizations/deaths varies pretty widely among the states. I guess that reflects a disparity in testing.

So far only 33 cases reported in this county. It's much worse in the central time zone part of the state.
