Excerpt #14: Aluminium is known to have a genotoxic profile, capable of causing both DNA alterations and epigenetic effects, and this would be consistent with a potential role in breast cancer if such effects occurred in breast cells.

Marcus, no qualifications in #'s 5 and 14.
If you are going to link to an article, you should probably follow the other links on that page. Like the 2008 literature review that finds: "After analysis of the available literature on the subject, no scientific evidence to support the hypothesis was identified and no validated hypothesis appears likely to open the way to interesting avenues of research."

And that article links to a 2013 study which finds "...no evidence from the combined published studies that deodorant promotes development of breast cancer, despite in vitro evidence supporting the parabens hypothesis."

And, finally, from the Alzheimer Society of Canada there is this: "Current research provides no convincing evidence that exposure to trace elements of aluminum is connected to the development of dementia."

Bottom line: aluminum socks aren't going to make your brain rot. They won't do anything for keeping your feet warm either but that's the reason not to use them.
