My conquering hero has returned, completing the 400 mile bike tour from Buffalo to Albany, NY with 600 other masochists. But I could tell they all had a great time and were all rightfully proud of their accomplishment. You could feel the camaraderie and self satisfaction in the air. Kudos to them!

My conquering hero has returned, completing the 400 mile bike tour from Buffalo to Albany, NY with 600 other masochists. But I could tell they all had a great time and were all rightfully proud of their accomplishment. You could feel the camaraderie and self satisfaction in the air. Kudos to them!

My theory is that they've calculated the cost of pilferage to be less than paying a human's wages and benefits. Plus, machines don't get sick (as often) and don't tell you to kiss their butt. So they don't care if some theft slips by the toy cop at the door.
