Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My theory is that they've calculated the cost of pilferage to be less than paying a human's wages and benefits. Plus, machines don't get sick (as often) and don't tell you to kiss their butt. So they don't care if some theft slips by the toy cop at the door.

Speaking from experience? I know you and penman and seeds are older than me but the pillaging was done by the time I was born.

That's a lot of miles. And a lot of cyclists.

After much research and discussion and contemplation, AG and I are sticking with rim brakes for the next quartet of bikes and will reevaluate whenever the subsequent quartet is purchased.

There's a reason I married her.

Now in fairness I cook dinner all week, lest anyone think I don't do my share.

We were at another friends’ kid’s graduation party today and one of our acquaintances mentioned (without prompting) how she recognized the Saturn and how impressed she is that I still drive it.

We just spent three days at a tandem rally in Lancaster. We finished today's ride about 5 minutes before the skies opened up. Had 77 tandems in attendance. Good rally.

P.S. I forgot my razor.
