Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's kind of pricey. The one at the shop was a gift from a racer/friend of the shop.

It's fun to use though.

My experience is that your approach is the typical male approach- which is frequently successful in part due to superior upper body and leg strength. ‘Go like Hell’ is less successful for me, I can’t manhandle these rocks like that. Hence the desire to improve technique.

It was nice to ride up so much more stuff today. When we were in Arches NP this afternoon, I kept pointing out bits of rocky terrain and telling Mr. H that I could ride right up that. Lol until he told me to shut up about it.

I need to get around to ordering my light. A blinky for the rear and a bright with wide pattern front. This will only be to extend my MUP riding so not critical.

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU................

I HATE my road bike right now.

They have inner liners around the bottom bracket but nowhere else. I can't even tie on a fishing line leader to get through the GLUED IN inner liner. And the inner liner must only be like 4" long, too. Not the whole length which would be very useful. This makes it impossible to run cables to the DRs without taking damn near everything apart. Lets not mention it took an hour to get the housing through the damn bars. I have NO CHOICE but to take it to the shop to finish the cables now. And how much you want to bet the take a look at it and say "we're not touching that thing with chinese carbon bars on it"...

That wouldn't be very customer friendly.
