Bought a new bike today...
Just picked up a new(2018) Giant TCR advanced pro disc. The bike was originally an advanced pro 0 disc but the shop robbed the di2 and replaced it with the newest mechanical Ultegra gear set. I plan to run Schwalbe Pro ones tubeless.
It should be a nice upgrade from my 2015 SuperSix evo 105.

I have fancy wheels, and didn't want the ones that came with my bike. (Small apartment, only room for one.) But I kept them because the shop wasn't going to give me much for them. They're tubeless only, and shops don't stock the tires I like. Cut one of them a week ago and it took several days for the new ones to arrive. It was really, really nice to have those other wheels so I could ride anyway for half a week.

The reason I picked up a newer bike is because my ss evo that came with 25mm tires had wear marks in the chainstays from tire rub. I was wanting to upgrade my wheels from the heavy rs11 wheelset, but the chainstays were too tight. Performance will probably not be that much different, but I will be able to run larger tires if I want, and I won’t continue to damage the chainstays while running 25mm tires. But....I would say a full Ultegra bike with carbon wheels will be somewhat of an upgrade.
plus, I can buy a set of gravel rims if I want to give that a shot.

I see. Wow, that seems odd that 25mm tires would rub. I've got 25's on my CAAD10 of the same year that I have no issues with. Sure, different bike - but both Cannondale racey bikes... I would have thought they would be pretty similar.
Anyway, who needs an excuse to buy a new bike?
