Anyone riding in this?
2019 Kool-Aid Classic
I've never done any sort of group ride, but my wife and I are considering doing this.

Every day a winding road
A company that sells artificially flavored sugar water is sponsoring a bike ride? What is wrong with that picture?

Group rides can be fun. I started 20 years ago with the LA Marathon bike tour which used to draw 10,000 or so riders. It was fun till the course changed to a point to point instead of a start to finish at the same location. It was a great event while it lasted. Be careful of wobbly kids, and wobbly rookie riders. My first ride was in pouring rain, and the guy at work who talked me into it, never showed up. I haven't stopped riding since then, no idea what happened to him. Most of all have fun!

Kool-Aid, or whichever multinational conglomerate that now owns it, does NOT sponsor the ride. Rather, the ride occurs during "Kool-Aid Days," which is the annual community celebration in Hastings, NE. The ride is actually organized by a small group of people in the community, with proceeds going toward a growing trail system.
It is a great ride! Or rides, since there are various distances. I've done it many, many times and know all of the organizers quite well. You will find a well-marked route, nicely-stocked aid stations (with Kool-Aid, as well as other beverages, home-made treats, etc), and friendly people. Highly recommended.

I lived in Nebraska for a while. It makes total sense. You walk into a store and they ask if you want a pop. Instead of a fist to the face you get a soda. There was a joke about the N on the football helmet stood for Nowledge. That said and done, some good folk up there.
