Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If that’s the new 54, what is 54? The new 40?? I have a vested interest in knowing.

I'm 54. It's the new 35, unless you are interested in women who are 35. In that case, it might as well be the new 65.

Define "interested."

I can barely remember 54.

I just turned 51, and a 35 year old woman traveled to Phoenix(from Iowa) to spend a long weekend in Sedona for my birthday.

I guess **** goes south between 52 and 54.

BTW, she’s really hot, if you like redheads.

If I lived in Iowa, I'd come to Sedona for your birthday too and I am super hot for my age.

Vested interested here too.... There is a lot of stuff not working right at this new 40 then. I preferred my original 40.

Been lurking for too long again. Still can't seem to figure out multiquoting.

For years, when I was in my late 20s, I dated a 4' 10" redhead with freckles. We went to Mexico for vacation. One morning we were having coffee in a hotel lounge. There was a group of old folks sitting near us. The next morning I went down early by myself. The old folks were there again. One of them turned to me and said "That little girl you are with. She's so cute. Is that your daughter?" I told them she was my GF. They looked at me like I was a child molester. I felt compelled to tell them she was 23 and that she just looked young for her age.

I have many stories like this. We started dating when she was 19.

I’m her mother’s age, and her Dad is 16 years older than me.

My Dad is 15 years older than my mom.

I was just telling the Mrs that in just 13 short years we'll be 80 (her 67th was yesterday). Now it looks like we have 26 years! Woo woo! I may yet graduate to crabon.

Only 92 here, feels like 100. I find, this year in particular, that I feel like I'm turning into my father- I started driving without using the A/C. I find that I'm tolerating the heat so much better this year.
(Though, it could also be due to the 35lbs I dropped in the past year, as well. Darn confounders.)
