Our Calfee was 8 years old yesterday! We have ridden in nearly 45,000 miles in those 8 years. The bike is still in great shape and we still are extremely happy with it.

DubT, In those 8 years, what servicing has been required?

That is a hard question to answer. The fork and headset have not been changed. I added spacers (that I bought from Calfee) to the rear dropout area so that I could use a wheel with 130mm spacing. Other than that the frame has not had any issues.

Before adding the mid drive motor I did replace the bottom bracket bearings. Other than chains and brake pads that is the extent of servicing.

Now I have continued to modify it. Seatposts, handlebars, seats, belt drive, hydraulic rim brakes, 3 different sets of wheels, Xshifter electronic shifting, a rear derailleur, cassettes and a chainring and then the motor conversion.
