My wife and I are planning on it. She will prob do the 20 mile and I will do the 30. It would be nice to meet some of the people on here. Let me know if your planning on it.

I plan on doing it. I've been riding down around WRL anyway, coming down from 635, so that part won't be new. But it looks like an ideal ride for me in length and speed and terrain. I'll be doing the 30 mile route if the weather isn't terrible.

Probably do the Sulfur Springs ride next week, and then there's one in Richardson that looks semi-promising later on.

I'll be there...hopefully doing the 20 mile. Depends on if I'm feeling it that day.

The Wife and I will be doing it.
Look for me singing " Let it snow, Let it snow, let it snow ' again.
Of course if that's the case the Wife (SWMBO) won't be there.
I'll be on a silver Zieleman
Maybe we can all meet somewhere and say Hi, before or after the ride?

Yep...I'll Definitely do the 20...just proved to myself that I could make it today.
Not too speedy ...
a little butt sore...
but 20 miles is do-able for me now.

I just registered and will probably do the 30 mile unless the wind is up that day. Sounds like a fun springtime activity.

Picked up my registration packet last night and should be out there in the morning! Looks like cool but no moisture in the forecast.

Whee! Made it over there and rode the 30 miler. First thought- "Oh the Humanity" That was a pile of people there. They had a couple of wrecks on the viaducts of unknown consequence (no cars involved, skinny tires + wide cracks perhaps involved). They started a half hour late because the barricade people for some reason hadn't got out and put barricades and cones where they were supposed to. Otherwise, it was a beautiful cool day, great for riding, and a good time was had by most.

+1 on the humanity factor...it was definitely tight my friends. The first 20minutes or so were spent shuffling along (screwed up my avg speed)
It was Awe inspiring seeing so many cyclists in one place though. Did my heart good.
I almost did the route around the lake (30 mi route) but promised my wife I would take it easy and only do the 20 miles. I'm glad I did the 20 miler, because after the split it was LOTS of up hill. I'm glad I made it without having to dismount and walk
The last few miles flattened out enough that I managed to get some speed and wound up finishing strong @ 20 mph. (Lots of talking to myself to get my legs going that last few blocks though.)
Didn't stick at the party too long though as I didn't know anyone (and work called me in for the afternoon)
I rode to work, of course.
Next year I have to bring someone to ride with.

I did the 30 and had a blast, my first event of that kind. I saw 3 wrecks on the viaduct but other than that the ride went fairly smooth. I was astonished at the number of bicyclist there, did my heart good. I hope next year they offer a longer route, maybe 50 or a metric.

I don't think they're going to do any more than the 30 miler, the logistics are daunting to
say the least.
Last year I saw one person crash at the same place on the Viaduct, this year I saw 3 or 4 folks
down. Does anyone know a)what happened, and b) are they alright (one guy looked pretty bad).
If you want to see humanity come on up to Wichita Falls for Hotter n' Hell, they average about
12,000 riders! see y'all there.
