Well, I was going to buy some Campagnolo Triomphe components buy instead I bought a Fiori Vincenza bike with a complete Triomphe groupset excluding the pedals and toe-clips but I did get a pair of Campagnolo Look Delta Cleat compatible clipless pedals and they should be posted to me tomorrow. When I finish cleaning up the bike I'll post some images of it.

They arrived last week but I didn't have the chance to set them up or try them out 'till last night - I scored a used set of Kreitler alloy-capped 4.5-in rollers on the 'Bay, bought a new tension band from another source, then found something to replace a missing pin to lock the length. I set it up in a doorway rode my Gitane fixed-gear conversion long enough to know that room needs a fan and I will need a lot more time to get comfortable on those things. So far so good, though, and I foresee a lot of time on them this winter.

Ordered 64 ACI-Alpina butted spokes to build some wheels around some Surly track hubs - now to get the Sun CR-18s to complete the job.

Heard a lot about these, never tried anything other than stock pads. Wasn't sure if I should get the wet weather salmon ones, or the all black normal ones so I went with the dual compound.

So far so good, went out for my first ride with them last night and they are way better than what I had before. The pads on my Tektro R559 were horrendous, usually they aren't bad but I'll probably replace them for these every time now.

Today I bought a cheap (£40) Bike Hut work stand from Halfords. I had expected to have to pay 2 - 3 times as much for something like a Park Tools one, and had been putting off the purchase for that reason.
I'm really impressed. It is heavy (in a good way) solid and stable, with plenty of adjustment, and will hold a bike up with the handlebars at shoulder height (or more) with plenty of clearance to turn the cranks (with pedals attached) if you're working on gears or brakes. It will grip the bike by the top tube or seat tube. It even comes with a little tray to put odds and ends on, which is pierced around the edge for screwdrivers or Allen keys.
I had expected it to be a disappointingly flimsy stop gap until I could afford better, but I'm very pleased with it.
Of course, a better one would be better. For example, this one has knurled knobs for tightening most of the bits that need tightening. A cam lever would be quicker and better, but more expensive. It's not often I'd go out of my way to recommend a purchase, but this one gets my seal of approval for those who want to do bike maintenance without back ache.

A pair of Phil Wood 6901 sealed bearings to replace the original 7901s in my c.2002 Surly New Track hubs. I gladly paid the experienced older mechanic at my LBS to swap them out for me, and this weekend was delighted to have my favorite bike back. It is soooo much better now!
Also got four rolls of Newbaum's tape for a couple of other bikes and a new pair of crochet-back gloves ...

I bought two of these. Love Spurcycle bells and 3DV so I just had to do it. Wish the front bolt as also 3DV but can't have everything.

I just bought a set of USB chargeable front and rear lights, a nice Topeak pump, a tactical light with a cool handlebar clamp. oh—and they came with a bike!
A 6KU FGSS. GASP!
I know, the hubs, headset and crank are cheapo cheesy, but dang it, the frame is right nicely done, and 6061 aluminum to boot.
I couldn’t help myself. The price was way too good to say no, especially for an unused bike, loaded with gear I was going to get anyway.
If I end up liking the geometry it will be a blueprint for the Columbus lugged frame I’m building.
