At What Temp Do You Stop / Start Riding?

I know some ride all year long and have the clothing for it.
I am anxious to get out riding after a long break, but the last few weeks its been way below zero with lots of wind.
This week will climb to the mid to upper thirties. thinking I may get out finally.

Curious to know at what temp most of you switch to walking or indoor.

It's not so much temp related, as the 2 feet of snow on the trails. Once it's ride-able, I'll ride.

I can relate. I just picked up a new MTB a month ago and all I've been able to do is adjust the derailleurs and seat height. Snowing again today.....

High 40s - Mid 50s. I have been spoiled by SoCal weather.

As for high temps, I stop enjoying rides after ~95F. I might start riding more road when the weather starts heating up, at least you get more air blowing over you.

I ride in all temps here. Our winters get to about -5 deg cel. in the mountains during the day, and about 3 deg cel. in the city for commuting. The snow on my commutes gets to only about 5cm at the most, and in the mountains, we just don't climb as high. We stop at about 10cm deep, and turn around.

Roadbikes the low limit is about 40 deg because high speed wind is just plain cold. Winter snow biking so far this year the low limit is about 10 deg to be comfortable and safe.

I've done down in the teens but I really don't like to go much below the mid 20s. I don't have winter riding shoes and my feet just can't take it. Think next year I may just switch to flats for winter. I'm really starting to get burnt out of this winter. It is either freezing, muddy, or way to often both this year. Suppose to hit the mid 50s this Saturday and I'm really looking forward to that.

Here in the great white north, the heat does not usually become a factor, but am sure some places it does.

As long as it's not black ice, I'll ride throughout the year.

I bought an MTB this year just to minimise the damage incurred to my road bikes caused by winter riding

Coldest ride this year was a time trial at 18 deg, but typically, it's the trainer below the mid 20s unless the sun is out and the wind is still.

I don't mind the cold, it's the wind chill. I'd say mid 30s in SoCal.

That's funny, I wish we only had to worry about 10 cm's.
Here is a shot from the end of my driveway this morning. Without snow, the lawn is at the same level as the pavement. needless to say, it will be a little bit before the bikes come out.

We used to ride our motorcycles all winter, too! Coldest was around 14*! The wind chill factor was way south of 0*! Jaw muscles and fore arms stiff for a week after that ride!
I had to kick the ol' Gary Fisher out the ice Monday! Wicked ride!
