Lambert information, and does this have a death fork?

Hey I just saw a local listing for a Lambert and I was wondering if people could tell me a little more information about it. What is the quality of the material and how much is it worth?

Apparently, it's a from the '70s and the frame is fillet brazed 1027 aircraft alloy steel.

Also, I've heard that these bikes come with death forks, can anyone tell if this one is a death fork?

This is probably the pre-Viscount-death-fork death fork. The Viscount fork broke because of problems with the aluminum forging; the Lambert fork also broke where the steel steer tube connects with the aluminum blades.

It is a cool bike, though, and you might consider buying it and replacing the fork. Maybe with a CF death fork.

Some info: link; link

Death Fork

I had a early 70's Lambert Sport up until 2003 when the bb broke and could not be replaced. I rode on the original aluminum death fork up until the mid 80's when I had the fork replaced with a steel version along with a crank upgrade. Loved the feel of the original fork vs. the steel replacement.
All in all that was a great frame. I still have the original sealed Lambert Hubs (bearings replaced) built on to 27" matrix rims.

If you don't want it, I've been looking for one of these in a smaller size like this, and I would be interested in it
