Aww geeze, another Bianchi thread!! 😁
I picked this up Friday, and thought I checked everything over well enough, but ended up dropping the chain into a holy mess. 😩 The seller told me it was his main commuter for 3 years, but apparently he worked around that little shifting problem. 🤔🙄
I’m pretty sure the frame will be fine, after a good tech realigns my derailleur hanger, but the rear derailleur got tweaked pretty hard, and I’d rather not trust it now.
But anyways, I got a Celeste Bianchi, finally, yayyyy. 😁 If I read the interwebs properly, this is a ‘97 Bianchi Veloce, with full (or very close to it) Campagnolo Veloce 8-speed. I’m not familiar with Campag., but was just starting to like the ergos, when I had my little “mishap”. 🤔

The serial number’s on a sticker, not fully readable, but kinda there. 🤔😉
Obviously, this one’s been well-used, but that’s cool, it was more affordable that way. I better not tell ya’s what it cost me. 😎😁😎

BTW, I know a rack looks cheesy on a racing frame, but it’s a Nitto, so gets a free pass. 🤪😁

Thanks very much for the response.
Mondo Piccolo!
I've been in that store.
There is a coffee bar a few steps away which makes for a strong attraction for ciclisti to stop in for coffee and bike talk/ogling.

No problem, senor. 😎
Hey, look what I found!!! A quill to threadless adaptor. 👍 I almost jammed myself up by not finding one today, when I really needed it. It goes well with a certain stem & dropbar that I bought earlier today. Or should. We’ll see tomorrow. 😁
I ended up leaving my bike at the bike shop that’s right on the UC Davis campus overnight. They’ll straighten my RD hanger, and mount up a cheapo temporary RD for me. Plus they had some nice wide dropbars that I really liked, along with a nice Bontrager stem. 😎
More pics tomorrow, unless my battery dies. 😁😉

Well, it’s not really that close on the color, lol, but I just thought this Bontrager stem & bar were a great match for the Veloce bits.
These bars aren’t long term keepers, but they’re way wider than the old 3T Forma that was on there. 👍
Plus there are tons of options, with bars, now that I’m threadless. 😎
