Used on a Bottechia Special (my guess is late '60s, or early '70s though refinished obviously) that I built up for my son, and now he's assembling it after shipping.
Previous photo doesn't show how the shoulders slope up to the crown race, which is an elegant touch, and makes it appear rather less "crude". In general, the lugset for this bike is very pleasing to my eye.
Strange I have no photos of this bike as we built it up -- I'll have to get him to take some.

do not know launch nor end dates
launch may well be as far back as the interwar years
used at least through early 1970's
Agrati ceased manufacture of cycle fittings ~1983-85
Brianza is a place name in the company's home town

Got enough stem in the steerer?
What's the story with this bike anyway? Are the frame and fork siblings, or a married couple? Whatever, it's classic!

And it rides like a dream even with most everything out of whack for me.
As far as we know they are a pair, no numbers and we know the whole history except who made it and we're working on that.
Tx!

for any readers wishing to view the full "BRIANZA" ensemble all in one place the 1953 Torpado Gran Sport of member DonChase is a fine example. the shell alone exhibits eight cutouts -

Exemplary job Don!
have a Torpado juvenile frame showing all the same bits including internal cable routing which has been hanging in me racks for many a year. looks like it may have been built for 500A wheel.

"BRIANZA" crown addendum -
noticed that one of RandyJawa's Torpado bicycles built with the "BRIANZA" lug ensemble has a "BRIANZA" pattern fork crown which is made without cutouts. cannot recall seeing this previously on another cycle.

The ones I found like this are from 69/70 with 71 and later having more finished, sculpted treatment like most others do.
How did you date yours and does it have a S/N?

Pretty cool, in my research I found that these with the crimped RDO's have staked CS's under the BB and seem a bit crude for top of the line.

The paint color is really nice, what is left of it. I have the replacement decals, but have not applied them. Actually, I need to treat the rust areas more thoroughly. Not to mention taking it out for rides! It will get Record HF hubs with NISI tubulars eventually. Need spokes.

Found it on CL and paid too much for it early in my C&V experience and knowledge. All I knew was the chrome looked appealing and it was Italian. Not the same as the Colnago!
The date is an estimate based on a catalogue found on the web.
It was part of an estate sale the PO was flipping from. He didn't know anything about old bikes and didn't like the decals on the DT and ST so pealed them off. I have not been too excited about this bike for some reason, maybe because of the price, quality and weight. It was a mess with a fair amount of difficult rust and a lot of paint chips off the all chrome frame. Chrome in places has rust, etc.

It does ride OK. Haven't really taken out out for a long ride. Should do that just to get acquainted. In a way, it is a replacement for the Le Champion that was taken out by a car and me almost with it.
Here is the HS bearings as removed.

The rear rim was bent so I straightened it out as an experiment. It worked.

You have inspired thoughts of pulling it down and doing some TLC!

I remember the wheel hack now, very industrious.
No S/N on mine.
Have you actually weighed yours? Mine is a big one, 62 at least, 22.8lb. which I didn't think out of line.
It is full Campy aside from Universal brakes and was stripped, repainted very nicely, seems like the front lugs were thinned, bottle cage studs and divers helmet added on the underside of the CS.
As you can see, no decals at all.
It rides fantastic so far and I still have to finish dialing it in.
I would encourage you to dig back in to yours.
Mine has very cool history for me as it belonged to a guy that was good friends and rode with all the original PDX framebuilders, he has passed, I got it from a good friend of his.
Pretty sure one of them did the repaint/rework but they don't remember.
I think maybe he disguised this so it would blend in with all the customs he was around.
The friend of his that I got it from has a Merz that I will be trying to get, we'll see.
I probably overpaid for this too but the backstory and history I learned from his friend is priceless for me.
