Front Derailleur brazed or clamp band?
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have searched, Googled for an answer without finding one. Shimano R7000-F is Braze-On and R7000-B Clamp Band. From what I understand the braze on fits all frames with an adapter if necessary clamping the seat tube. What is the difference then between these two models. The clamp Band shows no band on pictures.
Looking back at my old bike build it was done with a braze-on and an adapter. Why not a clamp-on? Older Specialized Tarmac frame without any braze for the FD.

The clamp-band version has the band built into the derailleur and the diameter is fixed. The braze-on model bolts to a either tab on the seat tube or to an accessory adapter band. The accessory bands are available in a variety of diameters and the braze-on frame tab will allow mounting on non-round seat tubes.
