Changing from Powertap to Garmin Vector

Hey guys,

I'd like to make the move to the vector powermeter platform later this year. My concern is that I would have to leave the saris software which I really like.

Which software are you using? Is it as good as the software that comes with the Powertap?

I believe you can use power agent for whichever type of power meter you're using.

^ You aren't getting the full potential of a power meter unless you are using one of these. ^

Not a whole lot. Off the top of my head I'd say quadrant analysis and performace manager type stuff.

Source?

At CES in January Garmin apparently said they were still on target for March.

BTW, not doubting you, just looking for updated info.

Shocking. But yeah, GC (the one I use) or WKO+ are great tools. I get additional info from overlaying it with on-the-bike-video with Dashware because it shows the dynamics going on around me and my positioning in the group (e.g. do I hear wind or not). I'd also like to know my gearing, breathing and wind speed/direction at all times (where's that darn Chung on a stick?) but I guess that would be a bit overkill. GL
