Over the past year ... have you cycled in any new places?

We've moved to Tasmania, and although I've cycled here before, we are visiting and cycling in parts of Tasmania that are all new to me.

Glacier National Park area? There's some beautiful cycling out there. Or other parts of Montana?

Counter clockwise. It will probably be about 20 miles longer as I will likely detour to Three Forks one day to get groceries before heading to the state park as there is no food source close. If all things go as planned, more than 80 miles will be dirt riding.

Hope to visit some friends in Kentucky later on this summer and do some riding with them. Would also like to hit up the Katy Trail in Missouri sometime this year.

So, let's hear where you've ridden since this thread last graced the top of General Cycling ... or if you've not posted here before, let's hear where you've ridden since you began cycling.

One of my regrets ... visited my wife's family in the Philippines a couple years ago and we took a side trip down to Legaspi City/Mayon Volcano area with her brother and his wife (no cyclists). Stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Legaspi ... the morning we were checking out, met the husband of the woman who was our primary contact during our stay. Turns out he was a cyclist and said one of his favorite rides was around the base of Mayon volcano. We had driven that route and I was thinking what a great ride it would be. He said he had an extra bike and too bad we weren't staying longer. Dang, I should have called his bluff and made everyone in my group stay another day

While I've traveled to quite a few more states (enjoy the national parks) and countries, haven't typically brought my bike as my wife doesn't ride (although she drove SAG for me on a couple of week-long tours).

I've covered the Southwestern and Southeastern states, and the length of Japan. I've raced in France, Spain, and Italy. I've always wanted to ride across America since I was a kid. I driven across the country, ridden across on a motorcycle, and even hiked across once. But I still haven't found a chance to ride a bicycle across.

Since you’ve bumped this and the last time I posted was 2006, I’ve ridden in 48 of the 50 states (including in North Dakota just last week). In addition, I’ve ridden in Belgium and The Netherlands.

I have very little opportunity to do any bike-centric travel. My wife loves to travel, but is not a cyclist. We've been to some interesting places, but most of my biking has been in or near places where I've lived:
-Western NY
-Ohio
-West Virginia
-Pennsylvania
-Western Maryland

On our last couple vacations, I've requested a day to myself out of the week to go on a bike ride so now I've ridden in:
-South Carolina
-Wyoming
-Montana

as well...
