Cascade Bicycle Club
I've just gotten back into cycling and have been riding solo for most of the past 3 months. I've been considering joining some group rides. I see that the Cascade Bicycle Club is pretty large and has rides near me in the northern Seattle suburbs. Anyone have any opinions on this club?

I recently moved to WA and joined Cascade. I love too far away to share in their rides so I can't tell you anything about that. I really like their advocacy efforts. That is why I am supporting them.

You don't have to be a member to go on the Free Group Rides. The rides are posted on their web page with a description and link to ridewithgps for the route. Pick an appropriate pace and give it a try.

I have been a Cascade member since 1980 or so. Probably earlier. It is a good organization both for advocacy and for rides.

I was a member for a while.
Many of the free rides were good, many had more participants than I would have liked.
Overall, the experience was positive.
A great option for cyclists new to the area.

I'm new to cycling and have been on a few group rides. I enjoyed them a lot--wish there were more in my pace group around the East side. I haven't done any of the featured rides, though Chilly Hilly and STP are some tentative goals for next year. I took a couple of classes they offered and was happy with the instructors and experience.
