Getting colder

I've accepted that it is time to wear socks with my cycling sandals. Do I wear them over or under the tights? They are hand knit wool socks.

Right now they are over the tights.

Wear them out, they’re good-looking. What brand of sandals?

Definitely voting for socks over tights!

I wear two pair this time of year - wool socks under tights, loud and bright socks over tights.

Yeah, bit of a chill in the air. 90° yesterday, only 84 today, better bundle up. Never cycled in sandles. I did go around the block one time with flip flops because I was too lazy to go get my real cycling shoes. I did have my helmet on though. Must have looked funny.

Socks are worn under tights. Sandals are good to about 45 degrees, I find. But not in 45 degree rain, that would be closed shoes with booties.

Unless, of course, socks are hand made in which case the socks should always be outside on maximum display. Functionally, it makes no difference.

Merino wool is nice and soft. No itch. And it is the same stuff many of you wear as a base layer.
