Now here is a great piece of cycling infrastructure. (Whoopdedoo)

This was installed a few weeks ago for Bike to work Week. It's still up.

awesome. I'm not sure it will make anyone commute or go out of their way for it, but it's still fun.

i like the fun, lighthearted spirit of the idea, but in overly-lawyered society, it looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

perhaps (hopefully) canada isn't as bad as the US in this regard.

are you kidding, you should see the sick **** they (the municipalities/cities, i.e. the governments) build in the mountain bike skills parks and trails. Teeter-totters, 15ft gap jumps, 10ft skinnies, big wall-rides. It's awesome. Every time I go, I'm glad to make it out alive, lol.

Of course there is a disclaimer sign as you go in.

Edit: I'm talking about municipal parks like InterRiver and Burnaby Mtn Air Skills Parks, NOT private ones like Whistler.

Uh oh, I may have spoke too soon. A visiting American mtn biker died yesterday after falling off a teeter-totter that was 6ft in the air. RIP, poor guy.
(The teeter looks kind of like a big jump, so maybe the guy didn't know it was going to move on him.)

Now that's cool! If it were up at Whistler, they'd put in an automated toll machine and charge you for that ride. I can't ever say I've ridden along that trail under the Cambie bridge. I'm rarely out that ways. If I'm up north, it's either out in Squamish/Furry Creek or down in Richmond, which is flat-earth riding.
