Can someone recommend their favorite jersey?
I have only one jersey, and need to expand my options. I'm looking for something with a fun design and from a brand that is highly recommended. Anyone have any suggestions?

What does fun mean to you?
All the guys I ride with wear Rapha. I like it too. I like the subdued style but most importantly, they are very comfortable fits for me. Some will say it is overpriced, so it really matters what you want to spend. For a jersey you can do so many different things, there are a million options.

Subscribed hoping this will live up to its potential. Who doesn't think Cheez-Its are fun?

all mine are either rapha or de marchi. i like the durability and function of both but neither are inexpensive. have bought nearly all of them (roughy a dozen) on sale. have had a few castelli and craft ones over the years that held up decently the first season but most of those developed zipper issues after a year (30-40 uses). fwiw, i machine wash and line dry all my stuff, including the jerseys.

Okay, by fun I was thinking some interesting color combinations. But Cheez-Its? Now there's some serious fun. Bring it on.

No mention of price range or needs re:fit.
I've had very good luck with several eBay/China vendors. Amazon also has some good quality/ low cost offerings. Just got a "Celero" jersey for Christmas.
Fit can be tricky, but zippers/seams/grip strips have mostly been better than expected for the asking prices.
Sometimes the pockets can be on the small size for my tool roll, but can be made to work.

There's no end of choices in novelty jerseys out there, but you should be able to collect some cool jerseys just by participating in events and supporting your local shops, clubs or teams. My favorites have such associations.
My local shop sponsors a small contingent of racers (of which I am NOT one) and their jerseys are pretty good looking. Last year's was from Castelli, the previous year's from Giordana. The one from Castelli is more high-tech and the zipper on the Giordana one has given me trouble, but it's received more compliments - simple white, gray and black scheme with smart, attractive design, and having the matching shorts completes the pro look.
Probably the nicest one I have is from last year's Giro d'Italia tour. Made by Rosti, with handsome graphics, and really nice fabrics. Parts are like mesh, but give a completely opaque appearance, other parts are very satiny, but still very light. Although the fabrics are extremely fine, the overall feel isn't delicate or fragile at all - in fact, the construction seems almost rugged.
Favorite brand for run-of-the mill: Sportful. Good quality and attractive designs. Don't have any team or event stuff from them, though.

So just to keep score, so far we have pics of 3 junk food jerseys and 1 poseur jersey. That's the spirit.

This is my favorite because it's my favorite beer and I'm on the Saint Arnold team. Also, I got it for riding the shortened MS150 in 2016, which was my first century. I have some Mondrian socks that go with it.
I like this one because World Champions and it looks good on me.

Since you are in the Twin Cities, how about trying a Twin Six Jersey?

Ha! I buy the cheapest $20 Amazon stuff I can find, or Nashbar, or whomever. My jerseys end up stained with sunscreen, PBJ residue, with thread picked, or smeared with grease after roadside repairs or tire changes. Sorry, I'm not into "branding" myself, posing as something I'm not or paying big bucks to advertise someone's product without compensation. Call me a fred but I wear standard Hi-Vis yellow/greeen/chartreuse or whatever the color. I haven't found expensive jerseys give me any extra speed or endurance and I've long since aged out of the need to look cool.
And so...to each his own.
I will add that ^ pepperoni pizza jersey was kinda cool though!

another vote for Ralpha, If you catch them on sale.
Assos has a racier fit check out their outlet site. If your sizes on either end of the spectrum they tend to have more choice for you.

That said, I enjoy the softness of wool, rocking my university's logo, or signaling to other cyclists that I'm pedaling toward my next beer.
Team kit should stay on the team, but for the rest of us, a little personality wouldn't hurt.
If Fred is your personality, there's always the Oscar the Grouch jersey.

I would like to find a merino wool jersey, affordable of course. I'm a big believer in merino but good stuff ain't cheap! As it is, the good quality merino I have has to do multi duty for hunting, hiking, camping and for cold days I wear that same merino base layer(s) with one of my cheap-o jerseys on top. Too cold and I add a soft shell.
Maybe some day I'll see a jersey with a message I want to share with the world. So far I haven't though. Not sure if Fred or Oscar the Grouch is really fitting of my personality, dunno. I do know that I'm not into the matched racing "kit" or the "kit" mentality at all for that matter.
Heck my road bike has one black shift cable and one blue! Horrors!!

At a price point in between Rapha and China:
Voler has a nice assortment of jerseys, many available in both race and club fit. Good quality, and made in the USA! Sometimes you can snag a really good deal on overstocks and sizing samples.
I'm currently a fan of the UK retailer Wiggle's house brand, DHB. Very nice kit that's a bit more budget-friendly than some others.

I wear
XS or XXS Louis Garneau standard/pro-fit for other warmer rides. Usually XS which is uniformly loose but not baggy, because they don't currently make XXS pro-fit which is my size.
XS Louis Garneau skin-fit aero for fast rides. Very small, very stretchy, and well fitting although the pockets are too small for longer rides.
XS Voler race fit or XS Verge skin fit thermal for cool weather. I prefer larger pockets, but XS LG thermal jerseys are huge and they don't sell XXS outside their custom program.
because most companies don't make jerseys for guys built like pro climbing specialists (unfortunately not a package deal with that power to weight ratio), or at least don't sell them outside their custom programs.
Your needs will vary, and preferred snugness may also differ.
