Anyone know of any good allrounder 26"x~2" skinwalls?
I'm looking for some 26"x2" (or there abouts) skinwalls for my '84 Stumpjumper Sport. I'm looking for something that will work well on pavement, but can handle trails as well. Trails are mostly hardpack dirt/forest paths. The biggest obstacles are generally roots as my mountain biking fits the context of when this bike was made.
I've done a bunch of looking, but I'm thinking I'll end up with the Maxxis DTH 2.15", but would like to know if anyone has other/better ideas. Or any experience with DTHs.

The DTHs are good.
For something with a little more bite but works well on pavement, check out SimWorks Homage 26. Same tread as Panaracer's old Mach SS tire but lighter and faster sidewall and compound.
A cheaper option would be the Swift Ripp Johnson.

Used the Schwalbe City Jet on my Grizzly. They were okay on gravel and excelled on paved road. Only area they were a bit weak in was loose gravel, but in a forest area they worked well.
Not quite 26 x 2.0, but they come in 26 X 1.9 and they are cheap as heck from chainreaction. Build quality is great. It looks like gumwall or tanwall, but feels like a lot tougher material

Thanks for the tip @BikeWonder Just ordered some for my recently acquired 1993 Rock Hopper. It has some perfectly serviceable Performance knobbies on it but I am mostly a road and hard backed trail guy and that was a killer price so I will see how I like the ride with some more pavement oriented tires.

I think I'm leaning more toward road - the Ripp Johnson and even the Homage look like too much tread. I wish Panaracer made Pasela PTs in 2". I actually like the Bontrager G1 on the rear, but I don't think there's a skinwall version.

I assume you know he had more than a hand in Stumpys as well as many other things.
The DTH's are on sale at Biketiresdirect with free ship and $$$ credit with their rewards program.

maxxis dth 2.1"
I went with the DTHs. I think they look pretty good, but I haven't been able to test them out quite yet.
It doesn't look like they seated right (I double checked because in the picture it looks like they're unevenly seated). They have more of the bead seat exposed than I've seen before & it is pretty evenly showing all around front & back. Is this something I should be worried about?
I'm thinking I'll be easy on them a bit then deflate & try again. Does that sound reasonable, or should I just leave them alone? Or is there something else going on that needs to be addressed? Rims are Mavic X221.

I just compared the before & after pics, I can't believe how much lighter & sportier it looks with the skinwalls - so much better!

I like the Schwalbe marathon supreme touring tires. I'm running them on my Bridgestone MB 1
