it is a good thread
while walking down a street in Quebec City, not a crazy busy touristy street jammed w souvenir shops, but rather a more common street w everyday business traffic but of course still many street cafes, I was admiring some old architecture but what really got my interest was this old bike. look at that fork. I looked around & across the street was a bike shop. told Wifey I had to go in. turned out to be a a pretty typical neighborhood bike shop with two ppl working with a mechanic busy up in the back. I was impressed to see so many Brooks saddles on display for sale. must be for a good reason, as-in they sell them!

Following this threads great photos, I have to say your photography is top notch! I bet you have more $ invested in photographic equipment than you do bicycles. Great work!!

Not bike related but I picked up a couple of Davidson Star D tripods from a local today for a photography project. These were made in the 1950's I believe.

Took the old Super Course down PCH to Malibu yesterday. Great ride, great old bike. The ugly clamp on bottle holder on the seatpost is temporary. I expected it to be a lot hotter, a 2 bottle day. It was only hot at the end, 91° back in Camarillo, so glad I had the second bottle. Views along PCH, Magu Rock, seen in lots of TV commercials, my Raleigh behind Neptune's Net. Good times!

Dead carbon bikes following today's Cool Breeze Century Ride. Poor things, had carbonitis. If they were steel bikes, they'd still be going strong. I only hope the riders survived. Oh, the humanity!

^^^^^ Talk about your "timeless" shot - except for the stack of bottled water, the New Balance shoes and the digital effect of the photo, this could easily have been taken in 1977.

My old Ross MTB stopping on a sculpture of a turtle, then stopping to observe the destruction of a legendary lace factory, and finally the Bullmoose cockpit. Visiting my family in the USA for a couple weeks.

^^^ very cool !! Is it legit? Where's it at? It could use a coat of wax or better yet new paint, but that might decrease the historic value. Buddy should have taken the bus
