Make sure you swap out the brake pads for some 4 dot salmons, they'll stop really well then.

Did you drop these in? If so, thank you. The pivots are stiff, but I can probably get them to work.

Those could be the ones I dropped in my last time around. If they are, glad someone has a use for them. I think I still have a few more which I'll probably put in when the BOC gets to me.

Hey yous guys, I’m gonna have to be shifted to the end of the list. Old Hurricane Mike has made it difficult for mail to get to Panama City. My house is fine, as are the bikes (I finally got to check it out today) so I hope to swap crap sometime soon!

Well kids, I'm happy to report the Box of Crap has landed in Port Angeles, Washington. Right on schedule.....thank you Tom! Pic below is "the reveal". I took a quick look through the contents and have my eye on a few bits. Adhering to the rules, I'll post a picture of what I decide to take. My own crap additions are ready to go and I'm hopeful to get the box headed to the Crapmaster in Iowa tomorrow. Stay tuned!

That red star is a chemical hand warmer. Boil it, and it becomes floppy. Then to activate it, bend the metal piece inside. It is not, as @fender1 claimed, a sex toy.

I remember seeing a similar device at the packet pick-up for a race (running, not riding) perhaps 20 years ago. As I recall, the solution is a supersaturated mixture of some salt. Flip the bend in the disk and the salt starts solidifying, releasing heat. You reverse the process by, as Tom indicated, reheating the device, which returns the salt to its liquid, supersaturated, state.

After a 24 hour stay in the Pacific Northwest, the beloved BOC is on it's way to our Crapmaster in Iowa. My take.....see pic below.... the Campy NR RearD and SR FrontD parts. Thanks a bunch to whoever added these to the box.....I think I can put together some usable derailleurs with other parts I have on hand. Please know I was sorely tempted by that clever bottle opener!
I used a new box for the trip to Iowa. It currently weighs 22 pounds. Out of curiosity, I checked the standard parcel fee and found it would have be $56.90 as compared to the Flat Rate Box fee of $18.90.

I had saved cat treats to toss in with the crap, but I forgot. I hope the next cat owner tosses some in and the person after that person posts pictures of a cat smelling the box.

Crapmaster,
Please remove me from the list. I intend to sign back on later after a few remodeling projects have been completed.
