Craigslist find! Shogun
Help me identify it please i pounced on it because of the price but have no idea what it is honestly. My wife ran up to the other side of town to pick it up for me since I was at work.
My intent was to flip it, however I was delighted to find it measuring a beautiful 53cm so I think it might be added to the stable.
info:
12 speed
no model info
original owner purchased it in 1979
came with a frame pump
worlds longest stem!
Thanks!

Looks to be a really nice bike! Is it all Shimano 600? Lets see a full drive side pic.
Cheers,

crank matches the brakes, the derailleurs are 600. lady bought it road it then stored if for 20+ years so i'm not seeing her as the type to upgrade the components.
I have to say I'm really impressed with how handsome this bike it, i'm looking forward to cleaning it up.

what do you think should i hunt up 600 cranks and brakes to make the group complete, odd to me that it's split like this.

Not odd to me at all. Many mfgrs will mix better and lower end components to hit a price point. Since, when buying, many buyers just look at the derailleurs and shifters, the mfgr can save some money.

since i've had my coffee and my morning ride that makes sense to me, maybe i'll look around for the parts to complete the group, the derailleurs and shifters sure do look sharp.
