I'm guessing Switzerland. I have no idea if that's a reasonable guess, and I'm not going to check, so if it's way off 2600 meters above sea level feel free to heckle me.

Flights to switzerland from JFK don't fly south. Besides, i put down the right answer first anyway. Bogota, Colombia. Though if it's a baseball cap and not a cycling cap, i can mail it to you for S&H

I don't wear baseball caps, so it won't do me any good. I guess I maybe should've payed enough attention to figure out where he was flying out of and think about the fact that he was off carolina, but that would've required effort. Not happening right now.

I'm guessing it's the South American country north of where my parents are from (the latter has a monument for La Mitad Del Mundo)...

my elitist education, which means i'm utterly unprepared for failure

but really, you once mentioned you fly delta, and you said you were going some place 2000m above sea level. That leaves the possibility to just a few places

The last Delta flight to leave JFK that matches the parameters of B's departure is flight number *** going to ****. at least that is what flight tracker indicates.

Jeez, you guys are some internet detectives. My guess was based on the fact he was heading south, and I think he was once in Brazil.

I'd guess Cuba on Fidel's private jet based on the description. In Havana you'll pick up Raul then head to Caracas for a sit down with Hugo. After some discussion they'll lead you to the room where the hostage is kept. After the signed confession is obtained, you'll head back to the US with a diplomatic pouch full of well used $100 bills and a small, lead lined pouch marked "To Kim with best regards".

I only do real populist revolutionaries. Mahmoud's a political hack sock puppet.

The Kim reference was Basinger. You have to wait for the rest of that.

BTW the Motorcycle Diaries was a pretty decent flick.

Bhutan is a lot longer flight from JFK than 6 hours.

LaPaz, Bolivia is too high.

BOG (Bogata, Columbia) is about the right elevation and the right distance.
