I'm working on a Tankhouse Ale from Mill St. Brewery. Never had it before. Kind of has a fruity taste. It's OK, but I wouldn't get it again.

Well the wife and I just kicked a "log" (5gal) of Trapp Vienna Lager. (Got a house tap.) We've only had it for 6 days. It doesn't help that I like to drink German beer from liter steins.

So now, for drinking, we have, in bottles, Guinness Black Lager, and Harpoon Octoberfest. Haven't tried the Guinness yet. I like black lagers but I'm suspicious of this one.

From Sam Adam's Harvest Collection - Bonfire Rauchbier, the smoky notes are not subtle. It's not bad, though I'm glad there are only two in the 12-pack. Tastes like a full-flavored beer after having inhaled a night's worth of campfire smoke.

This stuff is awful. It's like Heineken with a lot of brown food coloring added. Guinness should be ashamed. AVOID!

If you're up in VT, see if you can get something from Clown Shoes out of Ipswitch(?), MA. They make some excellent black ales.

I am a lady of refined taste, I love my micro brews and the occasional weird novelty beer (seriously, Dead Frog had a Chocolate MINT beer a while back)

Right now, I do happen to have my favorite in the fridge;

Jasmine IPA!
I love hoppy hoppy IPA's. Granville Island Winter ale is one of my all time favorites, Dead Frog nut brown, Whistler Brewing grapefruit blond, Phillips Chocolate porter, Thirsty Beaver amber, and I've never met a lager or IPA I didn't like. If we're drinking cheap beer, it's Molson Canadian.

My friend once told me I better never stop biking, or I'll gain 40 pounds of beer gut instantly.

^Jasmine IPA - wow, that looks good.

I've got a selection of "big" beers in the fridge. The Abyss ('10), Stone Imperial Stout, and a local Double IPA. In the glass, though, is:

Nice beer, good drinkability @ 8% ABV.

Looking forward to getting my hand around a cold mug of New Belgium 1554 in a little over a week. My mouth is watering already.

This. It goes down very nicely while watching the Ken Burns documentary on prohibition.

Not much. I'm trying to eat and drink the perishables so I don't have to pack it. Yes, beer is perishable. Perish the thought.

Down to one PBR and a few Sammy Adams.
