You've been playing guitar for 18 months and you're about to sign a recording contract? What have I been doing wrong?

It's like a cheap distortion pedal for your voice. It's a plastic tube with a thin membrane that vibrates. You hum or sing "doo-doo-doo" into it and it adds a buzzy quality. http://www.kazoos.com/

Statesville High School Marching Grenadiers. Excellent drumline. We won some awards, back in the day.

I still play drumset every day (lovely 70s maple Ludwigs), and can muddle through on 'most any percussion instrument (including timpani and mallets). Since '83, baby! I've played guitar almost as long, but never as well. I've a cheap acoustic which I abuse daily, and a Rickenbacker 620 hanging on the wall, waiting for me to get a real amp. I've also played bass, pretty well I'm told. I keep wanting to start playing piano again, but not badly enough to actually do it, it seems. I love to sing, especially blues and rock. Unfortunately, given my tastes, I've been told I have a good voice for country. And a face for radio!

I play the bass. I do it for a living, that's why I have so much time to ride my bike.
