Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

1x11 Di2 setup with XTR rear and Dura Ace 9170 shifters

Does anyone here have some insight on how to set this up successfully? I've lost two batteries and a wireless unit trying to make this work. My mechanic and I have it working now but E-tube does not seem to like the combo and loses the battery if you try to upgrade the firmware or change anything. I really would like to get the wireless unit back online and be able to program the shifter buttons to work with my bike computer. What's the trick?

This probably isn't the best place for this question. I would also try in the Bike Mechanics subforum.

The first place to check is the e-tube compatibility chart. The latest is dated April 27, 2018.

The article is a little dated but it might help.

I did a 1x XTR rd / Ultegra Di2 shifter setup. It was plug-and-play. Very easy.

First thing . . . make sure your eTube software is current. Second . . . use it to update the software on all the components BEFORE you try using anything. There was an iteration a little over a year ago that would shut down EVERYTHING if you tried setting up the wireless unit without having everything up to date. Reset required unplugging the battery. (I suspect that's your problem, but obviously can't know for sure.) Update it all, then move forward.
