silly question - what color bar tape?

I know this is a kind of a stupid subjective opinion. But what would look good on a black bike?
I currently have black bar tape on my black Gary Fisher Wingra (Trekking Bar) bike and its worn and wanna replace it. So what would YOU do?
I wanna spice it up a little... yellow, too flashy? Brown, I like brown but nothing else on the bike is brown. Blue? not sure about that. White? might be good? Red? might be good as well?

This is the bike a few months ago.

I took off the handlbar grips and extended the tape all the way around since then, but the tape has gotten yucky. Any suggestions would be great

Red, White, and Blue might be best.
I like The Back Bike.

Here is Yellow and Black.

I would think maybe a red and black tape. Give you a focus point, draw attention to the treking bars, since they are different from the run of the mill drops / flat bars. I'm not personally crazy about yellow / white / light colored tapes, in my experience they get looking a bit 'ratty' fairly quickly.

On the otherhand, my best beloved insisted that I needed 'Ger-Animal tags' for adults to pick out a matching shirt and tie in the morning... (Who says you can't wear a paisly tie with a checked shirt?)

Cinelli Lux. It's got a reflective stripe down the center of the tape. Looks really cool and is really useful on a commute bike.

get tape that matches your riding colors. i ride a black road bike... and my colors are black + red . if i were to own the bike i'd go for something black or something red.

i think blue would look cool, though. i wouldn't go for something black; throw a little color onto your ride!

You could also get colored tires and\or saddle to match whatever color tape you want.
Anything goes with black.

I've been thinking about doing this myself. My DoubleCross is black and I thought red bar tape, cables and water bottles would be a cheap way to spice it up a bit. Anyone done this? Got any pictures of the finished product?
