Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

WTB Exposure vs WTB Byway (700c)

Hello,
I'm looking for tires for mixed road (70-80%) and gravel.
Know WTB Exposure, but... there is also WTB Byway.
Both in size 700x34, both very similar... so, what are the differences?

Exposure is a pure slick, Byway has a slick center and low tread on the sides. In 700x34 I don't think you'll find many recommendations for either, when there are so many options. Hell I'd personally pick a super low rolling resistance tarmac race tire like a GP5000TL in 32mm over the Exposure. (FWIW I have WTB Ventures (in 650x47) on my gravel wheels, and they're fine for my hilly semi-XC trails)

It really comes down to what that 20-30% gravel looks like, how fast you want to go there, and what your off-road skills are.
