So it's been awhile since I've updated this thread. Part of that is due to not really being able to ride my flatbar Madone as often as I would like. (I have been doing family rides with the Roam 2 most of the time.)

Anyways, a couple of nights ago I replaced the original 700x23c Bontrager R2 tires on it with 700x25c Bontrager AW2 tires. I've been wanting to get wider tires on this bike mainly to increase ride comfort. And the comfort did improve with the 25c tires. At first I thought it wasn't that much of an improvement, but 20 minutes into the ride, I was starting to think that I could live with this, I just need a comfier saddle. My plan was to trade in this bike for a Trek FX S5 sometime in the future. However these tires are giving me a second thought.

Now I wonder if I could fit a 28c tire on the back, if so, then even more of a reason to simply keep this bike. If not, then I could experiment with lower tire pressures to see if it improves some more. I'm also considering getting the Specialized CG-R Carbon seatpost for this bike.
