Kuat NV Base 2.0 weight limit.
I recently put money down for an Electric Bike Company Model S. After adding a basket (permanent), the total weight will be somewhere around 63 pounds, without the battery (which is easily removed).I have a 6 months old Kuat NV Base 2.0 (for 2 bikes) bike rack, which has a weight limit of 60 pounds per bike. If I do not place a second bike on the rack, am I asking for trouble by using the rack, or should I look for another rack?

Rack looks pretty sturdy and normally specs are conservative. Appears satisfactory as long as the bike company didn't weigh the bike without wheels or whatever.

Bikes: Co-Motion Cappuccino Tandem,'88 Bob Jackson Touring, Co-Motion Cascadia Touring, Open U.P., Ritchie Titanium Breakaway, Frances Cycles SmallHaul cargo bike. Those are the permanent ones; others wander in and out of the stable occasionally as well.

I'd ask Kuat as they know the rack's capability better than any of us.
