IMO you don't need to add anything. I would return the stem and seat post to stock.

Amazing bargain, a 2013 top of the line FX for 900 bucks.
You could probably resell when the weather gets warmer for 1200 bucks. That's a 2k bike just last year.

For a price like that, I would add a Trek to my stable too................ Nice find!

This gives me incentive to keep my Sirrus LTD, way too nice to let go for anything but 1100-1200. I paid 1550 OTD for it, April May you should demand top prices.

The bouncy seat, the high rise handlebar/bar end arrangement. Those aren't "upgrades". You have a really nice performance Hybrid that's been turned into a comfort bike.

Italia, no disrespect, but I think most feel the previous owner turned a really great light-weight performance hybrid into somewhat of a comfort bike. If that is what you want, then so be it. There is still something to be said for having a light weight bike, period. In the end, it is your bike, but we are all just giving our 2c.

I like the extra hand positions the bar ends provide. Provides more comfort as needed. The handlebars/stem can be lowered as I get more comfortable. The seat is the original seat, the post has changed. The bike as is, is still under 20 lbs and meets my needs. As I advance, I can make adjustments.

Pure clean lines this is my 7.7fx 2014. First thing I did before I even left Lbs was ask for a screwdriver to remove all the reflectors. I don't ride at night and I like my kit free of unnecessary crap that ruins the esthetics.
Had to get a computer so I know how bloody fast I'm tearing and terrorizing the town.
It is a bloody fun bike to own.

Dealer in my area is selling it for 1799. Fair priced, I think the frame is the same frame in the Madone 3.1 300 series Carbon.
I got the 7.5 FX and really enjoy it, I don't think its a fast bike at all just extremely comfortable.

$1799 but I paid cash so my Lbs gave me the credit processing fee as a discount which was like 60 off. I just put on a bontrager sattilite elite carbon trekking handlebar and it really makes the 7.7fx shine. I didn't think I would use the horns as much as I am. The horns are a great option when my hands go numb from the grips on my 25mi loop. I've picked up at least a mph using the horns and the weight reduction is noticeable. If you can find the bar imo do it.
I'm a stock trader. I'm in a good one and if it goes where I think it could go I'm going to get a high end madone and put that carbon flat bar on it. Had a Boyo on a road bike yesterday behind me and he stayed there with me tucked down with the horns ha ha ha.

I got the bar off of this hybrid forum for 125 plus 15 in shipping 140 total. Lady sent me the original box with a 220 price tag. This bar has been discontinued by bontrager and is hard to find. If you can find it imo don't hesitate to buy it.
All the best

Do you guys that have this really nice carbon 7.7 FX use this for errands like Post office, fast food, groceries. Its seems like too nice to lock up and get scratches on the frame from the locks, posts, other bikes.
Do you have another bike ride?
I for one would get not be happy scratching up a nice carbon ride.
I use the FX 7.5 as my get a scratch bike, the CAAD 8 is off limits.

It's a beautiful and fun bike to own but Imo isn't for errand running. The 7.7 is for going fast and believe me it's fast. Today I did a morning ride and with a 8mph tail wind I was doing 24 to 27mph tucked in with the horns. Coming off the bridge I'm jamming 34 threw the intersection bloody love it. What I like the most is the versatility the bike offers. The 7.7 is truly the best of both worlds.

When I bought my 7.7fx I put the trek website stock Image on my fb page. This girl I know asked how I ride with the seat so high. I have no clue why they have the seat post 3ft long on stock images.
