Catching Up:

All - Yes, it's been a long time...again...I have no idea how long it's been or when I'll be back, but was curious today, read the last couple of pages and my ears started burning.

Tiffanie and Extort - Thank you both, once again, for coming out to the show at Winston's on 1/27. Very much unexpected and very much appreciated. Made it a memorable evening, and I hope you both can make it out again on 4/1...I'll be playing all.freakin.night.

efficiency - Pedal your fancy bicycle machine down to Winston's on 4/1. Rock with my groupies.

Tiffanie - I'm sure my wife won't mind you being a groupie. You're good people. And she is normally home with the kids.

My Wife -

Jabatnik00 - That is a tasty ride.

Nachoman - (upon spying a plate of crickets...) That, is a nasty ride.

GP, Doghair - Chucklehead, and Chimivee - I guess FaceB00k is the place to be...

N00bs - Welcome. Don't even try to understand this thread. There's no beginning, no direction, no theme, plot, intrigue, or cohesion. Example:

Me - I'm currently in the throes of the MediFast diet plan. My boss, who began about 5 weeks ago at 350 lbs, is now down to about 302. I have graciously offered to 'pace him' through a month of his loss. Now, I'm 3 weeks in, down 17 lbs, and have re-upped for another month. Goal weight is 160...about what I weighed as a freshman in high school...I have 27 more to go. I'm still running about 3-4 miles per day, and put in about 20 miles per day both days this weekend. I really shouldn't be doing that, but I don't want to just be an out-of-shape skinny guy.

That's about it for recap. I went back about 3 pages and this thread is D-E-D dead.

ps: For some reason, FB has become my de facto chat. Search me out...or not...whatever.

I'm still refusing to join Facebook. I got a couple of those "_______ has invited you to join Facebook" reminders recently. They originated two years ago.

Lol, bookface! I'll probably be spending time on there more now myself. As of today, I'm off the bike for two weeks per doctor orders. Saddle sore that never quite healed up came back and got big, ugly, and oh so painful. I'm hoping the antibiotics do the trick.

I reluctantly joined Myspace a few years ago because my clients must promote their shows to attract an audience. I needed to know about their shows to earn money, and the best way to do that was join Myspace. Same with FB now. Otherwise, I give a gnats ass. I remember being addicted to AOL chat back in the last century.

Met a guy at Pizza Port last week and he said his son had done a long distance ride recently... little did I know that the ride was a bit longer than the normal bike ride most of us do...

Did anyone do the solvang double century today? My team did a ride and came across a bunch of riders. I asked and found out that's what they were doing. Coincidentally, we were also doing a double, but in a different direction.

I just can't believe how lush, green and fragrant everything is! It's so, non-SoCal! Less than three years after that Malibu fire blackened Latigo Canyon, it's now exploding with green. Trees and chaparral that burnt seemingly to death, display growth (at times heavy) springing up from branches and roots.

We did loops 1 & 3 of the Mt. Laguna ride. We did loop 1 the opposite of how we did it last month, then turned left onto Pine Creek and did Noble Canyon (Loop 3).

We stopped at the Mt. Laguna store for water after Noble Cyn. I was cramping bad and was so out of it I was seeing red dots. Had a Pepsi, a gel and some chips and felt almost fine.
