Just yesterday you said you'd do Palomar, and now this.

Just who do you think you are?

Did I really say I was going to do it or was I just kind of gasping for breath?

Palomar is too much work. I'm lazy.

I'm pretty sure I heard you said you'll be there. But..you know...whatever, man. I see how it is.

BTW, I saw a bunch of your cronies riding past your house this morning. Were you with them and I just didn't see you?

I didn't ride this morning. Went to Mimi's for breakfast, Starbucks for coffee, Clairemont for lunch, a different Starbucks for more coffee while J visited her sister, then back home to dig into the Hickory Farms gift basket.

If you promise not to drop me and leave me for dead, I may be up for this. I haven't rode more than 1.5 hours at a time since September, though.

No worries. We'll check for a pulse before we abandon you. And if you're dead we will stay to fight over your bike parts.

I'll be doing Great Western loop with Tri Club buddies. Hope we don't have the Santa Ana winds we had last year.

So an update on the palomar ride. 8:30 from Lake Wolford is where I am leaving from. I have a full car of 5 going with me. There's gonna be probably 30-40 of us. Not gonna be a hammer fest. There will be everything from 1 hour guys, to two hour people. So, no worries about riding alone, odds are good there will be some one going the same speed.

Except Chuckles, no I am not gonna do a slow race all the way up like on Torrey!

Okay, I'm in, as long as I don't sleep in too much that morning. I'll be leaving from my parents' place, but I doubt there will be much traffic that morning.

If there's no pulse, but there's still brain activity, please do commence with CPR. I'm not dead until the brain activity ceases! Only then may you strip Vivian of her parts.

As if we can monitor brain waves on the side of the road. I prefer the traditional Vatican test for dead Popes - tapping the head three times with a (silver) hammer. Since we don't typically carry hammers on rides, we can whack you on the head with a minipump.

That didn't seem to stop you from eating it.

It was a nice ride. Thanks for organizing it, Grumpy Pig.

I just realized that no one took any pictures - therefore the ride did not happen. Strange though, I seem to remember it distinctly.
