Next would be the whole end of that same stage. That was about as hard a race to the finish as I've seen - the Schlecks and Contador, then all the rest strung out down the mountain behind.

+1. Haussler winning the rainy cold stage in the mountains was a really awesome moment. It was an emotional finish and a great thing to happen to a guy who seems pretty humble.

Dude you've made 15 posts to this forum and 95% of them have been to the tune of "lance is a doper." We get it...you don't like Lance. We don't need you to reiterate your feelings in every single thread. Why don't you try and make a legitimate contribution for a change.

Another of my favorite moments during the tour was the banning of Reid Rothchild...his posts were of similar motivations as yours. You're entitled to your opinions on Lance but it just gets old reading your same thought over and over again.

+1 to that. frank also said he more or less prefers seeing his little brother winning than himself cool. disappointed he couldn't drop armstrong on the ventoux but maybe next year

"According to the video, Dutch rider Kenny van Hummel of Skil-Shimano was dropped 10 km from the start. That means he rode almost 200 km on his own at an average speed of 35.60 km/h (Contador rode 40.96 km/h) . He felt really bad when he got dropped (obviously) and wanted to give up but his DS told him: “Fight dammit!” and after a while he refound some legs -- translation by Ted van de Weteringe

Kenny van Hummel now leads the Lanterne Rouge competition by 39 minutes. (The Lanterne Rouge is an unofficial award that goes to the rider with highest overall time while still making the time cut for each stage.)"

Watching Contador's acceleration on the stage he took 2nd place in the GC (don't recall which stage it was off hand). Whatever you feel about his pistol trick, his attitude toward team tactics, or anything else, that acceleration was awe-inspiring.

At 1.4 km on the Ventoux, Andy attacking and Lance beating Contador to mark him. (That was the one where the announcers incorrectly thought they dropped Frank). The old man was feeling his oats!
