ride, we need our own, here it is.

My Basso. A "pieced together" vintage ride. I got the frame off eBay and a Campy S. Record group off the classifieds at CampyOnly.com. The kid came from more traditional ways.
I figure the frame is from the mid to later 80s but don't know for sure. The only blemish is thealum fork. Couldn't find an appropriate steel one and wanted to finish. Figure I'll find one eventually and finish the bike off right.
Of course it's been a few years.
The shifting and braking is non-standard to be sure but that's done to accomadate the lasting effects of my last motorcycle ride.

My Miyata 215ST, bought new in 1988. Just finished a century on it last Saturday, my 3rd in as many months. It is a very comfortable ride.

198? Colnago Super?(S# E7415), I've owned it since 1993a nd don't really know a lot about her, repainted in 1996 mismash of different era Super Record with I believe Cobalt brakes. She doesn't get ridden very often, maybe 3 or 4 times a year, but if I had to choose only one bike, she's the one.

aaright now, you guys are slowing down. That Somec y'all keep hearing about...it is a '78 Special, campy dropouts and the first of the second generation Super Record grouppo (sez Super Rekord on the rear of the rear derailleur). The seat is, admittedly, kinda funky but it was NOS and is really comfy (really!). It is a Cinelli #3).

I still haven't nailed down the exact year, so I'm going to say Mid 70's Motobecane Grand Record. Reynolds 531...done up w/ Super Record components except for the Edco Headset. I bought the frame (new) and slowly built it up close to 30 years ago!

I spent 12 years as a Field Engineer, and one thing I learned the value of really quickly is preventative maintenance. Like I said - I bought that bike new, and have babied it all these years. There are a few of the unavoidable nicks and scratches from use, but it is essentially in new cosmetic and mechanical condition. Always garaged, never crashed. Wiped, cleaned, lubed, tuned and inspected regularly.
My wife has one just like it, only smaller. They both came new with those racks from the factory. I happen to have an extra rack in the garage somewhere that I picked up in my travels.....

Here's one of my old crocks: 1968 Raleigh Grand Prix -- all original, except the bars, and I have those; I added a Union dyno light set and vintage fenders (courtesy of bigbossman), painted to match. Dunno what brand they are; they look like old ESGE.
