With snow forecasted here in Maine this weekend I got out Friday evening and tackled a route that has been a goal for me since getting back into cycling last September. It was a beautiful loop to Cousins Island and back home.

Nice and easy ride today with two efforts dispersed, set up a new PR on one of the local climbs, increased my average watts by 20 since two weeks ago, definitely still making strong progress.
Otherwise absolutely lovely weather here. Been like that for weeks. All this year really the actual weather was so much better than forecast, absolute pleasure to cycle at the moment.

Did my ride on Saturday instead of Sunday so I could spend Mom’s day with her. Our daughter can’t join us due to the whole safe at home thing. Great ride with a foggy morning and warming within a couple of hours. Also a couple of 7 mile lunch rides during the week.

Did 20.30 miles yesterday, 14.01 today.
Going to ride another 20 tomorrow morning to hit the century mark for the week, on my Trek Marlin 6 MTB.
My new GIANT Contend AR1 comes in this week so can’t wait to try out my new road bike.

Next weekend probably gonna try longer distance.

28 miles Friday, 37 miles Sunday. Nice weather. I need to get out earlier. There's almost no traffic at night where I ride but I could probably use a little sunlight.

Same old ride as before, a 55 mile jaunt. For a change this time around, swapped the handlebar stem (Salsa fitted by the bike shop 11 years ago when they fit me), with the original Felt stem. The new stem is way longer (almost twice as long as the Salsa) and flatter, resulting in me being in a more "forward" position. I had zero problems with my back/hands/neck after the ride, but had an aching knee. Don't know if it was due to my cleat refusing to clip, or due to the new position, or the incredibly gusty headwinds/cross-winds that I had to battle for almost 35 miles of the ride today. Will take one more ride this coming weekend, before making any further changes. And the reason for the swap - just because. Wanted to upgrade my bike in about a couple of years to a more aero model and wanted to test if my body can take it :-).
It was beautiful weather for a ride and the only nit was the winds. Hardly any cars on the road. I am liking the enforced quarantine in NY.

The weather has been pretty nice this past week. Tuesday did a extended evening ride around S. Tampa for 32 miles. Thursday did my usual Davis Is. evening ride for 26 miles. Saturday I was back in the Ocala Nat forest and rode around for 42 miles. Sunday it rained, so no riding. We were in phase one reopening last week and I can already see a slight uptick in vehicular traffic. The empty road good times will be ending soon.
