Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Single-speed Belt Drive From Scratch – Photoblog

Previously, I shared a photoblog on this forum that documented a single-speed belt drive conversion project that I did in 2011. I'm back with another 9 years later, but this time I built it from scratch!

Read about my time in Paul Brodie's framebuilding class, building a single-speed belt drive bike from the ground up: https://medium.com/@steveluscher/hand-built-single-speed-belt-drive-bike-paul-brodie-7bad73bfe710

Thanks for the link and the article. I loved the pics of how the bike came to be. You should be rightly proud of your accomplishment and I agree a clear coat is the only way to go.

Well done.
