Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My LBS loves me and my money. They put all my Chinese steeds together for me. Besides they don't sell Specialized bikes. The ride of this bike is very stiff and fast. I haven't ridden a Venge to make the comparison. I did have problems with the shifting when it wasn't Di2 because of the stuff not cleaned up inside of the frame. Not my normal QR position.

There's definitely something to be said for the unbranded look. I've stripped the paint from two of my aluminum frame commuters in the past and owned one Chinese carbon frame.

The particular frame I owned was light and comfy but the ISP topper popped loudly every time I shifted my weight front-to back (or hit a pothole). I'd still consider owning another, but you can get a heck of a lot of used carbon frame for $600 on ebay.

Machine tools have some wonderful ones, one of them made reference to keeping the "handy part of your body away from the rotational assemblies".....and all the manuals said that you must wear a hardhat when climbing inside the machine. We called it "Engrish".
